RESIDENCE

During her residency at the Collège Gisèle Guillemot in Mondeville, Selah met with pupils from two fourth form classes and challenged them to a stylistic exercise. The pupils had to work within the constraints of format, time and colour, to come up with non-figurative compositions. The technique, however, was completely free. This process of research and reflection served as the starting point and material for Selah's creation of a mural at the Conservatoire de Musique du Sivom des Trois Vallées.

THE BOUQUET

The artist selected a work by each pupil and worked with them to present the results of their ten-day residency in the form of an exhibition, "Le Bouquet", and a fanzine. The public were able to discover the collaboration between the schoolchildren and Selah at the Quai des Mondes media library in Mondeville and during a guided tour of the exhibition at the foot of the wall.
